In Marrakech the Second edition of meetMED

The second edition of the meetMED week, the key event for the energy transition of the Mediterranean countries, is underway in Marrakech, Morocco.

Within the activities of the meetMED II project (Mitigation Enabling Energy Transition in the Mediterranean Region), funded by the European Union, the second edition of meetMED Weeks 2023 took place in Marrakech between 9 – 11 May. The three-day event brought together more than 250 energy experts representing officials, stakeholders, and policymakers from the Mediterranean region with the aim of promoting energy and climate transition. For ENEA, Roberta Boniotti MEDENER Secretary General, Lorenza Daroda, Alessandro Fiorini, Edoardo Pandolfi and Corinna Viola participated, actively involved in activities aimed at supporting the energy transition in the eight target countries (Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia), with a view to the transition to a low carbon economy through a shared and inclusive approach.
